SMS Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By checking the box to sign up for one or more text messaging programs, and/or making a purchase you expressly consent to receive non-marketing and marketing text messages from Independent Anti-Spam Centre (referred to ‘IASC’ in these Terms and Conditions), including text messages made with an autodialer, at the mobile telephone number(s) that you provide. You may opt-out of these communications at any time, and consent to receive marketing text messages is not required to purchase any goods or services. You also accept and agree to be bound by these SMS Terms and Conditions, IASC's Privacy Policy, and any other applicable terms and agreements related to your use of IASC’s services.

General
 

IASC’s text message programs are governed by the following terms and conditions: You agree IASC may send you text messages (including SMS and MMS) about any current or future products, offerings, events, promotions to any mobile phone number you provide. Message and Data rates may apply and you agree to pay the charges to your wireless bill or to have them deducted from your prepaid balance for this service. IASC does not impose a separate fee for sending IASC text messages. Communications via text messages will be to your mobile device, and may include information about any product or service that you are currently receiving. You acknowledge that you are thirteen years of age or older and you have the consent of the wireless account holder. If you signed up by texting a sign-up keyword, you will receive a confirmation text message, and you may need to reply as instructed to complete registration.
 

Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. You agree to receive a final text message confirming your opt-out. Texts may be sent through an automatic telephone dialing system.
 

Message Frequency
 

The number of IASC text messages that you receive will vary depending on how many of IASC’s text messaging programs for which you sign up to receive messages. If you opt-in to a IASC text messaging program, you will receive a maximum of four (4) messages per month in connection with that program. For text messaging programs that are non-marketing in nature, the number of text messages you receive will vary depending on the program.

How to Opt-In
 

You may subscribe through a web form at WeFightSpam.ca, when you sign up for an IASC Rewards account, place and order on our website or initiate an email or any other method established by IASC from time to time.

How to Opt-Out
 

To stop receiving promotional text messages from IASC, simply text STOP or any of the other below four (4) opt-out trigger words to any text that you receive from IASC. You will then receive confirmation of your opt-out of that text messaging program. Message & data rates may apply.

Note:

  • None of these opt-out trigger words are case sensitive and the opt-out is instantly completed.
  • Our SMS number is 647-489-0700.
  • Alternatively, you can opt-out of receiving text message from IASC by sending us an email (help@wefightspam.ca) with your mobile phone number or by calling us toll-free at 1-888-SPAM-911.
  • Please allow up to 10 business days from when the email or physical mail request was received to process your removal.

Your Mobile Telephone Number
 

You represent that you are the account holder for the mobile telephone number(s) that you provide. You agree to notify IASC of any changes to your mobile number and update your subscription to reflect this change. You agree to indemnify IASC in full for all claims, expenses, and damages related to or caused in whole or in part by your failure to notify IASC if you change your telephone number, including, but not limited to, all claims, expenses, and damages related to or arising under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Access of Delivery to Mobile Network is Not Guaranteed
 

Your carrier may prohibit or restrict certain mobile features and certain mobile features may be incompatible with your carrier or mobile device. Contact your carrier with questions regarding these issues. Delivery of information and content to a mobile device may fail due to a variety of circumstances or conditions. You understand and acknowledge that network services, including but not limited to mobile network services, are outside of IASC’s control, and IASC is not responsible or liable for issues arising from them.

IASC takes data protection seriously. Please read our Privacy Policy for information on how we handle your data and what your rights are.

Changes to Terms and Conditions
 

IASC reserves the right to change these SMS Terms and Conditions at any time, and your continued consent to receive text messages from IASC constitutes your agreement to all such changes. You agree to review these SMS Terms and Conditions periodically to ensure that you are aware of any changes.

Termination of Text Messaging
 

IASC may suspend or terminate your receipt of IASC text message if IASC believes you are in breach of these SMS Terms and Conditions. Your receipt of IASC text messages is also subject to termination in the event that your mobile telephone service terminates or lapses. IASC reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, all or any part of IASC text messages, with or without notice.

Requirements
 

To take advantage of IASC’s text messaging program, you must have a text messaging-enabled mobile device with a text messaging plan.
